Clear terms for domestic and business customers
At Old Bills Pest Control, we want to keep things clear and straightforward. These Terms & Conditions explain how we work with our customers, whether you’re a homeowner dealing with a one-off pest problem or a business with an ongoing contract.
We’ve kept the language simple so it’s easy to read. If you’re a domestic (consumer) customer, please read Section A and Section C. If you’re a business (commercial) customer, please read Section B and Section C.
If you’re signing up to a commercial service agreement, we’ll also provide you with a more detailed set of Commercial Terms & Conditions that apply to that contract.
1. Your Legal Rights

As a consumer, you have legal protections under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. These terms do not affect your statutory rights.
2. Cooling-Off & Cancellation

If you book online or by phone, you may have 14 days to cancel under consumer law.

If you ask us to start work straight away, you may lose the right to cancel once the service is completed.
3. Prices & Payment
-
All domestic prices include VAT.

Payment is due when the service is carried out, unless agreed otherwise.
4. Guarantees & Follow-ups

Some treatments include a guarantee period (we’ll confirm when you book).

Additional visits outside the guarantee are chargeable.

1. Contracts

A contract begins when you accept a quote, sign an agreement, or ask us to start work.
2. Prices & Payment
-
Prices are quoted excluding VAT unless stated.

Invoices are due within 30 days of issue.

Late payments may incur interest and recovery costs under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
3. Ongoing Agreements

Service contracts will set out the number of visits, what’s included, and how long the agreement lasts.

Cancellation requires written notice, as stated in your contract.
4. Liability

We are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profits or stock.

Our liability is limited to the value of the services provided, unless the law says otherwise.
A detailed set of Commercial Terms & Conditions is provided with any service contract and takes priority over these website terms.

1. Access & Safety

You must provide safe access and tell us about hazards.

Our technicians may refuse work if conditions are unsafe.
2. Limits of Service

Pest control reduces or eliminates pests, but complete eradication cannot always be guaranteed.

Following our recommendations (e.g. hygiene, proofing) is essential.
3. Equipment & Materials

Any equipment we supply (e.g. bait boxes) remains our property unless agreed otherwise.

Do not tamper with or move them.
4. Cancellations & Missed Appointments

Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule.

Missed appointments or late cancellations may be charged.
5. Complaints

If you are unhappy with our service, please contact us in writing. We aim to respond within 14 days.
6. Law & Jurisdiction
-
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Disputes will be handled by the courts of England and Wales.
